Senior Dispenser

Due to further expansion Synergy Farm Health is offering an exciting opportunity for a full time Senior Dispenser to work alongside our Dispensary Manager in co-ordinating the dispensing service to our farming clientele based in the South West.

Working with our teams of 37 Vets, 15 Vet Techs and 40 support staff you would be responsible for leading the Dispensary team to ensure systems, protocols and legislation are adhered to in order for us to provide a high quality medicines service for our clients in Dorset, East Devon, South Somerset and East Wiltshire. This role includes involvement in dispensing, ordering, delivery logistics and staff rota planning.

You will need applicable experience in a veterinary environment including an understanding of medicine legislation, and be ready to take on a new challenge in a supportive and appreciative environment. You will need excellent communication and logistical skills, enjoy working within a team and attention to detail will be a priority for you.

Based in beautiful Dorset this role includes all the benefits of working as part of a friendly dynamic team including health insurance, CPD allowance, and no out of hours work. Salary will be dependent on experience.

Financial Controller

We have a vacancy for an experienced Finance and IT Controller to lead and develop the finance department within our progressive and expanding veterinary practice. This full time role would be suited to a qualified accountant with strong IT skills.

Responsibilities would include:
• Oversight of the day to day operation of the finance department
• Day to day management of the finance team members and their development
• Supporting the Board with strategic planning and appraising new ventures and opportunities as they present themselves.
• Ensuring that the management information prepared by the team is accurate and reported to the Finance Executive in a timely fashion
• Liaising with the professional advisors nominated by the business to ensure effective communication and implementation of ad-hoc projects, including Research & Development Tax Credit claims, changes to equity holders, appraising remuneration packages, together with other ongoing business, tax and financial planning projects
• Oversight and development of business processes and controls to ensure appropriate checks and balances are in place as the business continues to expand
• Working closely with the Director responsible for finance and being a member of the Finance Executive group.
• Contributing to the growth and success of the business by being encouraged to present ideas and highlight opportunities

You will be a competent, self-motivated individual who is highly organised and has experience of managing others. As well as strong financial, analytical and IT skills you will have good people skills and be confident in delegating. In return you will receive a competitive remuneration package.

RECEPTIONIST

( Maternity cover – June 2020 )

Synergy Farm Health is a progressive dedicated Farm Animal Veterinary Practice based in Evershot, Dorset, working with 35+ Veterinary Surgeons covering Dorset, East Devon & South Somerset.

We are seeking a receptionist ( initially on maternity cover ) to complement our busy reception team who are the first point of contact for the practice, answering and forwarding phone calls, taking messages, organising call logistics, updating computer systems and maintaining communication with our veterinary team. Administrative projects are also part of this role.

The ideal candidate would have excellent communication skills, pay good attention to detail and have the ability to work under pressure. Working well within a team is crucial. An understanding of and experience in the veterinary or farming field would be an advantage.

You would be joining a happy dynamic environment where hard work and loyalty is appreciated. There is the possibility of flexible hours within this role which includes some Saturday mornings on a rota basis.

Operations Manager

Due to expansion Synergy Farm Health is offering an exciting opportunity for a full time Operations Manager to work alongside our Operations Director in managing the logistics of our expanding progressive farm animal practice.

Working with our teams of 35 Vets, 15 Vet Techs and 40 support staff you would be responsible for overseeing work load logistics, rotas and resource planning as well as dealing with day to day queries and staff support. Staff well-being is a high priority and part of the role will include signposting issues, monitoring well being and working within our mentoring structure. The ability to supervise clinical governance and performance management will also be fundamental to the role.

You will need applicable experience in a veterinary environment and be ready to take on a new challenge in an entrepreneurial business where you are appreciated. You will need excellent communication and logistical skills and enjoy working with people to enable them achieve their best.

EXPERIENCED FARM ANIMAL FOOT TRIMMER

Synergy Farm Health is seeking an experienced full-time foot trimmer to join our rapidly growing team of Vet-Techs working in close partnership with our vets to provide a quality service to the farmers of Dorset, Somerset and Devon. This position would suit someone with bovine foot trimming experience wishing to be part of a professional, veterinary supported team.

A clean current driving licence to include trailer towing is a necessity and excellent communication skills are vital.
